Chapter 5: Unstoppable Force (Page 19 to 26)

So I finally finished this chapter. I was working on it all this time and decided that I'd rather post the comic when I finished all the pages, instead of doing it one page at a time. It just helps the story read better and allows me to enjoy making the comic, more. There were many times that I really wanted to post, acting like a giddy little kid wanting to show mommy and daddy what I drawed...but it wasn't ready and I had to temper myself. I hate being the responsible adult, some times.

I've finally caught up on the comic, in terms of the where I was when I initially started it six years ago. Chapter 6 will be the first chapter that I start from scratch with no instance of me taking old art and incorporating it into new art.

I also wanted to include a credits page of the people who worked on the game and got the names from IMDb. It didn't feel enough to say "Based on the game by Bioware" because it wasn't created by some corporate entity - it was created by people. Living, breathing, bleeding people. I wanted actual people's names to be included so people can know who the actual people that created this masterpiece were. The layoffs in the tech industry and terrible treatment of staff, especially ones involved in development, by the gaming industry has really been upsetting me and Bioware is not exempt in any way, shape, fashion and form. This comic started as a letter to my son but has now evolved to include a massive fan letter to the people who worked on this entire saga. You've all created something magical that still makes a large impact on people's lives, 17 years later, and no one can ever take that away from you.

I want you to know, if you ever feel low or feel doubt if you've done anything that matters: You have. You made an impact on so many lives - more lives than you will ever know. Somewhere in the world, your game and characters helped someone get through a dark time in their lives. Somewhere in the world, your work pulled someone out of an existential abyss and helped them find motivation to live. Somewhere in the world, you made someone feel like they mattered and feel like someone cares about them. You did that. And I want you to know that.
