It really bothered how badly written Jacob and Liam Kosta were. Jacob probably upsets me the most. Pretty much every character and companion in Mass Effect 2 was intriguing and made you want to speak to them but then Jacob comes along. He was as boring as watching the weather channel on repeat. It's almost like the writers came to him and went "Eh, slap something together and call it a day". He came off more like a token afterthought than a serious insert.

And then there's him in Mass Effect 3, for my femsheps who romanced him.

Anyway. I wanted to use this comic to redeem him, a little, and give him a bit more presence. In keeping with this comic being an artistic journal to chronicle my artistic development as I experiment with different styles, I took a very "manga" look with this page and I actually love it. The handwritten sound effects just gave it more energy and personalised it more because that's my handwriting, right there.
